The First international conference on

Climate Change &

Environmental Management

Mitigation Challenges for Sustainable Development

ICCCEM-01

December 05-07, 2023

BISKRA, ALGERIA

Scope

T he First international conference on climate risks, and Environmental Management: mitigation challenges for sustainable development, will be held at the Scientific and Technical Research Center on Arid Regions (CRSTRA), Biskra, Algeria, December 05-07, 2023. This international conference is open to the academic world and to socio-economic partners concerned by the variability of the environment cycle and adaptation to extreme events.

Under climate change effect, it is expected that global warming will lead to an increased frequency of droughts and floods, in many regions. Impacts are observed in all environments and socio-ecosystems: forests, soils, lakes, cities, and so on, which directly and indirectly affect human beings. Hence, it is becoming increasingly evident that climate uncertainty is hindering the task of developing adequate adaptation policies to climate extremes such as droughts, floods, heat waves, soil degradation and sudden and intense rainfall.

Objectives of the conference

The conference aims to focus on the different forms of climate change impacts on environment resources and related sectors such as agriculture, ecological resources, and natural hazards. The conference will provide a forum bridging the gap between expert, scientists, practitioners and decision-makers in order to mobilize innovations, knowledge and skills and up-to-date scientific research results carried out all over the world and allowing to launch new collaborative actions to better handle the risks related to climate change on our environment resources and environment for sustainable human development.

Topics

  • Extreme events and Climate change, impacts and actions
  • Hydrology, Hydrogeology and Water resources: current issues and challenges
  • Data acquisition, Remote sensing, Environmental monitoring and Geospatial analysis
  • Human and Climate change; relation and adaptation strategy.

We cordially invite speakers who share a keen interest in the seminar's themes to kindly respond to this call by submitting their abstract. The abstract, composed in either English, Arabic or French, should be meticulously prepared in accordance with the following form:

Title: Times New Roman 14, Bold, Capitals, Centered.
