As part of valorizing research results, the Director of the Scientific and Technical Research Center for Arid Regions (CRSTRA), Professor Kachbar Mohamed Saif Allah, along with researchers Dr. Abdelhamid Fougalia and Dr. Samir Boudeibi, representing the team holding the patent for the smart boat for monitoring water bodies, participated in a coordination meeting on July 29, 2025, with the Director General of the National Agency for Dams and Transfers and the representative of the General Directorate for Scientific Research and Technological Development, Mrs. Maya Cherfaoui. An agreement was reached to implement a four-month pilot system using the smart boat to monitor water quality, with future plans to generalize it across all dams to monitor temperature, turbidity, and other technical parameters, contributing to water protection, periodic monitoring, and enhancing water security by transforming scientific research into practical solutions.
